Monsoon on the wane, Kullu-Manali hoteliers gear up for tourist influx
With the monsoon season nearing end, hoteliers in the Kullu-Manali region are gearing up for tourist influx. Known for its stunning landscapes and vibrant tourist attractions, Kullu-Manali is poised for a surge in number of visitors as the weather improves.
Tourists are drawn by the lure of clear skies and pleasant weather. After the monsoon period, which often sees a decline in tourism, increase in bookings will provide a relief to businessmen.
Hotel owners and operators are preparing for the expected influx by enhancing their services and offering special packages to attract visitors. The local tourism sector, crucial to the area’s economy, is optimistic that the influx will provide a much-needed boost to local businesses and support the regional economy.
Manali Paryatan Vikas Mandal president Anup Thakur said, “We are hopeful that from September 15 onwards, the tourist season will see a significant improvement.” He said with the improving weather, tourists would start coming to Kullu-Manali. Currently, hotel room occupancy in Manali stands at around 30 per cent, but the figure is expected to rise in the coming days.
Along with preparing for the tourist influx, local businesses are also focusing on offering improved customer care. Special promotions and additional amenities are being rolled out to ensure a memorable experience for tourists.
