Shimla, July 25
The monsoon session of the Vidhan Sabha will be held from August 27 to September 9 with a total of 10 sittings.
The Cabinet, which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, decided to recommend the dates for the convening of the monsoon session to the Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla.
This will be the longest monsoon session of the Vidhan Sabha as normally the session has maximum of up to six sittings. Sources said that the government has decided to have a long monsoon session to enable detailed discussion on all issues concerning the public and development of the state.
