O2 hoarders warned

The Kangra administration is taking steps to check hoarding of oxygen cylinders. Warning hoarders of action, it has told traders, units and hospitals to declare stocks, and be ready for inspection.

All earlier restrictions, including closure of educational institutions and five-day week in government offices, have been extended till May 10. Temples would also remain closed till May 10.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said: “Sharp increase in cases is a matter of concern. The government is making efforts to curb the pandemic by taking some stringent steps.” He said if situation remained grim, complete lockdown could be considered by the Cabinet. inside
