Panic gripped Sel village in the Nainikhad panchayat of Chowari subdivision early Sunday morning after a massive fire broke out in two separate cattle sheds, reducing them to ashes.

The incident occurred around 5 am when villagers spotted thick plumes of smoke rising from the structures. The cattle shelters belonged to two daily wage workers. Fortunately, both families had already let their cattle out to graze as part of their routine, narrowly avoiding any loss of livestock.

Despite villagers’ efforts to extinguish the blaze, the fire quickly engulfed the sheds. Both structures were destroyed, along with stored fodder and other materials kept inside.
