Hamirpur, November 22

The people in the state had decided to uproot the BJP government in the state as it had failed to deliver on all fronts. This was stated by Mukesh Agnihotri, Leader of Opposition while addressing public meeting at Mehre in Barsar constituency today.

Agnihotri said that the results of the four byelections had reflected the mood of people and failure of the BJP governments in state and at the Centre. The people were suffering because of the anti-people policies and programmes of the government. He said it was power of democracy and Constitution of the country that farmers protest forced repeal of farm laws.

Anita Verma, former AICC (women cell) president, said that a large number of youth had lost jobs due to wrong policies of the government. Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, MLA Barsar; Sanjay Dutt co-incharge of the Congress, and Rajender Zar, president of District Congress committee also addressed the gathering.
