Municipal Corporation starts survey for e-parivar register in Shimla
Shimla, August 1
The Shimla Municipal Corporation today started a survey to make an e-parivar register of all families living in the town. The corporation had earlier handed over the work to a common service centre, but it was able to survey only 6,000 households.
To expedite the process, the Municipal Commissioner recently conducted a meeting with ward secretaries and directed them to conduct the survey by August 15.
The ward secretaries have started the survey, under which the families will be required to fill relevant details in forms supplied to them. The data will be then recorded in the e-parivar register. It will help the families get various services through an online application.
Earlier, the e-parivar register was only available in rural areas, but later it was decided to start it in the state’s capital too. Municipal Commissioner Bhupinder Attri said the survey would be completed soon, after which the details would be recorded in the e-parivar register. — TNS
