Nachan to have Controlled Atmospheric store

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar said a controlled atmospheric (CA) store would be constructed at Nachan. It would help farmers store their produce for some time to fetch good prices.

He announced a grant of Rs 1 crore for Kisan Bhavan at Gohar. It would provide farmers accommodation near the market area, whenever they visit it to sell their produce.

The minister was here on a two-day tour to Nachan to lay foundation stone and inaugurate projects.

He said the government was laying emphasis on rural development and generate jobs for the youth. Concrete steps had been taken to make the youth self-reliant. He also inaugurated a rest house and Bharat Nirman Seva Kendra. He also laid the foundation stone of solar lift irrigation scheme to be constructed at Movi Seri. — TNS
