He further said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had directed that party offices must be modern and serve as centres of dialogue, churning of ideas and planning. “Our target is to build 787 BJP offices across the country, of which 617 have already been completed. In Himachal Pradesh, nine offices have been completed and work on the rest is progressing rapidly,” he said.

At the felicitation function, the party leaders hailed Nadda for back-to-back electoral victories and attacked the state government. Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, while thanking Nadda for laying the foundations stone, accused the state government of being insensitive to the pain of the people. “The state has seen extensive loss of life and property in the disaster but the government still went ahead with the function,” said Thakur.

Anurag Thakur, meanwhile, claimed that the Mandi function had brought the infighting and factionalism in the Congress to the fore. “Himachal’s debt burden has gone past Rs 1 lakh crore and the state is in serious economic crisis,” he said.

Meanwhile, state BJP president Rajiv Bindal said the Congress getting merely six seats in Bihar was a proof of its declining credibility. “We will see a similar situation in the 2027 Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections, where Congress will fail to reach double digits,” said Bindal, adding that people were fed up with the Congress government.
