Nahan gets Rs145 cr development projects

Shimla, July 28

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of projects worth about Rs 145 crore in Nahan through a video-conference from Shimla today.

The projects include the Rs 52.79 crore Giri drinking water supply scheme, Rs 7 crore indoor stadium, Rs 10.74 crore upgrade of the Trilokpur-Kala Amb-Nagal-Suketi-Bikrambaag-Khajurana road, building of the cooperative bank, multi-storey building of Police Lines, and building of District Attorney office.

Thakur inaugurated the Bodhwara Khajuriwala Irrigation Scheme at Parduni, gym hall and canteen in Nahan degree college, Jamta-Katyad road, Khajurana-Malonwala road and Bohliyon-Jogiban link road. He also inaugurated District Tourism Development Office at Dosarka near Nahan.

He also laid the foundation stones of a sewerage for Kala Amb, Moginand, Trilokpur, Khairi and Johro, Skill Upgrade Centre, extension of 33 KV sub-station, Dosarka, and a residential complex of Dr YS Parmar Medical College and Hospital.

Thakur said the Giri water supply scheme would provide better water supply to the people of Nahan. He said the credit went to local MLA Rajiv Bindal.
