The Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) reported that the continuous rain has resulted in an estimated loss of Rs 5.64 crore. Twenty water schemes of the Jal Shakti Department have been damaged, leading to an estimated loss of over Rs 33 lakh.

Seven members of a family remained stranded on an island in the middle of the Markanda river near Kolar for 13 hours. With a combined effort of the local administration and residents, they were rescued by a JCB machine on Sunday afternoon. Sirmaur Deputy Commissioner Sumit Khimta stated that the district administration had made extensive preparations to handle any situation.
