Representatives of Doon Valley Public School, Nalagarh, shared their insights into best educational practices at the Sahodaya Global Education Conference 2025 organised by the CBSE in Dubai recently.

The conference served as a platform for schools, academicians and policymakers from India and other countries to exchange ideas on the evolving landscape of education. It also offered an opportunity to share the best practices between India and the UAE, fostering collaboration and mutual learning in the field of global education.

Varun Sharma, director of operations; Priya Sharma, and principal Devendra Mahal represented Doon Valley Public School. The delegation highlighted innovation in the Indian education system, value-based learning and the holistic development of students.

The pre-conference event was held at The Indian High School, Dubai, where students from seven local schools presented cultural programmes. The two-day conference featured eminent educationists and dignitaries, including CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta, Prof Pragya M. Singh, Satish Shivan (Consul General, CGI, Dubai) and Sudha Murthy, Rajya Sabha MP.

Sessions included discussions on changes in the global education system, hands-on innovation and joyful learning through art integration. Deliberations also focused on the role of the NCERT and re-imagining curriculum and pedagogy. Prominent international speakers such as Biswajit Saha, Prof Sunil Sharma, Anil Shukla and Andreas Schleicher (OECD) shared their perspectives during the conference.

The event concluded with sessions on the CBSE affiliation reforms and strategies for building resilient teachers and learners. Doon Valley Public School’s representatives proudly showcased the distinctive features of the Indian educational system and the school’s innovative teaching methodologies on an international platform. Their participation not only strengthened the school’s national standing but also earned it distinguished recognition at the

global level.
