A special programme was organised today at Raj Bhavan today to mark the 150th anniversary of the national song “Vande Mataram.”

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and all the officials and staff members of the Raj Bhavan joined together in the soulful rendition of Vande Mataram, celebrating the spirit of patriotism and devotion to the motherland.

Addressing the gathering, the Governor said that “Vande Mataram” was a timeless ode to the love, reverence and unwavering devotion to Bharat Mata. He observed that the song continues to ignite the flame of nationalism in every Indian heart. The Governor urged everyone to imbibe the essence of this sacred hymn and dedicate themselves to the collective goal of building a strong, united and developed India.

The event also witnessed special participation of the students from Buddha post graduate college, Kushinagar (Uttar Pradesh), who added vibrancy to the celebration through their enthusiastic involvement.

Secretary to the Governor CP Verma and Principal of Buddha post graduate college Prof Kaustubh Narayan Mishra were also present on the occasion.
