Navodaya kids meet Speaker, learn about legislative process

A group of 76 students from Navodaya Vidyalaya, Theog, visited the Legislative Assembly Secretariat and met Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania. The students were accompanied by Navodaya Vidyalaya chairman and Shimla DC Anupam Kashyap, SP Sanjeev Gandhi and school principal Sangeeta Shaunik.

During the visit, Kashyap and the school principal provided the Speaker with a detailed overview of the school’s activities, programmes, achievements and student performance. Engaging with the students, Pathania explained the functioning of the Assembly and answered their questions about the legislative process.

The Speaker expressed his appreciation for the growing interest of students in the democratic system. He noted that nearly 100 schoolchildren visit the Assembly every day to observe the proceedings, highlighting the youth’s strong faith in democracy.
