Revenue, Horticulture, Tribal Development and Public Grievances Redressal Minister Jagat Singh Negi chaired a review meeting of ongoing development works under the Karcham and Kalpa divisions of the PWD. He directed officials to complete all pending projects within the stipulated timeframe to ensure public benefit.

Highlighting the importance of the upcoming apple season, Negi instructed the PWD to prioritise the repair of main and link roads so that farmers and orchardists can transport their produce to markets on time. He also warned of strict action against contractors found negligent in executing development works.

The minister directed the early completion of the 3-km alternative Nigulsari link road and timely execution of the Sapni-Kanda link road. He further instructed departments concerned to expedite sewerage projects in Kalpa, Sangla and Ribba.

Negi also reviewed works funded through MGNREGA-2005 under the 15th Finance Commission. Seeking detailed reports on the number of workdays provided to beneficiaries, he stressed that the scheme’s benefits must reach grassroots workers.
