A person was allegedly murdered by a Nepalese man in Thella village of Garsa valley in Bhuntar subdivision of this district on the intervening night of August 19 and 20. Kullu SP Gurdev Sharma said Dharamjeet (23) of Santkabir Nagar in Uttar Pradesh registered a complaint that while he was sleeping with his colleague Ram Chander from Uttar Pradesh in the newly constructed house of Harish Kumar at Thella, Kharag Singh Bahadur of Nepal entered their room and started hitting Ram Chander with an iron rod. The complainant added that Ram Chander sustained grievous injuries and he died on the spot. The SP said they worked as labourers in an orchard. The SP said a case under Sections 302 and 452 of the IPC had been registered in Bhuntar police station and further investigations were underway. He added that police teams had been mobilised to search the accused, who had fled with his two children after the incident. The police have also released the picture of the accused.
