A drug peddler hailing from Nepal has been arrested with around 1.02 kg of charas (cannabis) in Rohru subdivision of Shimla.

The accused has been identified as Ravinder Sharma (33), a resident of Dailekh district in Nepal. He was residing in Chirgaon, Shimla.

The police nabbed the accused along with the contraband from Andhra village in Chirgaon. Rohru DSP Pranav Chauhan said that a case under the NDPS Act had been registered against Sharma and a probe was underway.
