As many as 10 new containment zones have been notified in the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh (BBN) industrial belt with the emergence of 69 positive cases in the last two days.
Nalagrah SDM Prashant Deshta said as a preventive step, areas visited by the positive persons as well as their workplaces have been declared containment zones. These areas were sealed after sanitisation last evening and they are being fenced.
These areas include Adarsh Colony, Dattowal village, Darshan Suits and Sarees shop in the main bazar in Nalagarh and three shops next to it, Dr Gargi Clinic, Nalagarh, all shops located in its lane, houses of positive patients at Friends Colony, Nalagarh, up to Ramshehar Road, JBM industrial unit, Chowkiwala, and house of patients at Nangal, Rajpura and Chatlog villages in Nalagarh.
Complete restriction on the movement of people has been imposed in these areas and the police have been deployed at the entry and exit to ensure adherence of the order.
In another move, the Baddi police today inspected all steel industries in the BBN area where registration of workers, quarantine facilities, social distancing and sanitisation protocols as well as norms like no intermixing of staff from different shifts were examined. Five challans were issued to people who were not wearing masks, said Baddi SP Rohit Malpani.
