Amid the ongoing Covid crisis, educational institutions have found new ways of teaching students. The schools have started online classes through various means, such as Google Duo application, Zoom application or Whatsapp. Teachers are sending study material, like notes and images, so that the students can understand the work properly. A time table has been made by the teachers and the classes are conducted according to that. Tests are also taken by teachers time to time and parents are also playing an important role by checking those tests.
Jaypee varsity gets Central grant
Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Jaypee University of Information Technology, bagged financial support from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, under Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Post Graduate Teaching Programme. It is initially valid for five academic years from 2020- 2021 to 2024-2025. Selection and admission of DBT-supported 10 students for MSc Biotechnology programme of the university will be through a centralised selection process and these students will be paid a stipend of Rs 5,000 per month. Rest 20 seats of the same programme will be filled through standard admission procedure of the university. Vice Chancellor Prof Vinod Kumar congratulated Dr Anil Kant, coordinator of the programme, Prof Sudhir Syal, Head of Department, and faculty members for securing the prestigious grant.
B.Ed exam application date extended
Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) has extended the last date for sending online applications for appearing in the B.Ed entrance test 2020 to June 25. The decision was taken as a large number of applicants were unable to fill the forms due to the lockdown.
