Nurpur, August 13
Kangra District Magistrate Hemraj Bairwa has issued a notification for a new traffic management plan at Damtal on the Pathankot-Jalandhar highway under the Indora subdivision in Nurpur police district. According to the notification issued by the DM, using powers granted in the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, vehicles can now be parked only in the areas marked with yellow lines.
The dumping of construction material will not be allowed on the national highways and rural areas falling within the limits of Damtal town.
The no parking zones have been identified on the National Highway from Indora turn to Shitala Mata Temple, Bharwain-Chintpurni-Khatiyar-Damtal road, Old Damtal to Kandwal road, Mohatli to Indora road, Damtal Police Station to Gaushala Road, NH-1A to Surajpur Jhikla Road. The service lanes of Damtal town will also remain no-parking zones. The parking of large vehicles will not be allowed anywhere in Damtal, except the designated areas.
The loading and unloading of goods by heavy vehicles will not be allowed in the no-parking zone and service lanes from 8 am to 8 pm. — OC
