The “Har Ghar Tiranga” initiative is more than an event; it is a movement to deepen every citizen’s emotional connection with the national flag, said Prof HN Suryawanshi, Director of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), while addressing a gathering on campus. He expressed pride in NIT’s wholehearted contribution and announced that a Tiranga Yatra will be held on August 12, alongside a pledge for Nasha Mukt Bharat, reaffirming the institute’s commitment to social responsibility and national pride.
Registrar Dr Archana Santosh Nanoty noted that students, faculty and staff are participating enthusiastically through diverse activities, aiming to instil unity, responsibility and pride in national identity. Dean of Student Welfare Prof YD Sharma highlighted that the celebrations foster patriotic values, teamwork, creativity and community spirit among youth. Major events include a rangoli competition, National Tiranga Quiz and the Tiranga Yatra, culminating in the ceremonial flag hoisting on August 15.
