NK Bali was elected the president of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) Pensioners Welfare Association during the annual general meeting of the association here today.
During the meeting held under the chairmanship of BR Chauhan, the house was apprised of all activities and works done by the association for the welfare of the members during the past two years.
Kanta Thakur was elected vice president, Madan Sharma general secretary and Mangal Singh Parmar was elected treasurer of the new body.
Talking to the media, Bali and Madan Sharma said the issue of EPS 1995 higher pension and the progress achieved in this regard were discussed in detail. As many as 103 retired employees of HPTDC have got higher pension under the EPS 1995 scheme, 25 received demand letters and the remaining retirees are expected to receive the same in near future. The income and expenditure details of the last two years were placed before the house for the approval and same were approved by the house.
