No church property can be sold: Church of North India

Virendera Pal Singh, Principal, St Pal Senior Secondary School, Palampur, has the special power of attorney to look after the church properties belonging to the Amritsar Diocese Trust Association (ADTA). The Church of North India (CNI) today said some people were making efforts to sell church properties in Palampur through fake documents.

PK Samantaroy, Sadrick Sohan Lal and Daniel D Dass were chairman, secretary and property manager of the ADTA and they were the final authorities for signing any documents . It is clarified that church properties spread over Kangra, Kullu, Shimla, Chamba, Solan and Sirmaur districts had availed the benefit of the HP Ceiling on Land Holdings Act, 1972, therefore these could not be sold. — OC
