As per directives issued by SDM Dharamsala, Sanjeev Bhot, a guard will now monitor pilots to ensure compliance with safety norms. Additionally, paragliding operations will be prohibited after 6 PM. Surprise inspections, conducted in collaboration with the police, will penalize any violations.

During a meeting with the Indranag Paragliding Association, the SDM emphasized improving the site’s infrastructure, as the uneven and unpaved takeoff area poses significant risks. He stressed that paragliding is a high-risk adventure sport, and negligence can be fatal. The administration remains firm on enforcing safety measures, warning that any lapses will result in strict action.
