Shimla, March 7

The Cabinet sub-committee, headed by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, has arrived at a unanimous decision to announce the results for the JOA (IT) post code 817 exam. The result of the exam was held up on account of vigilance inquiry into the disbanded Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur.

Agnihotri, while presiding over a meeting of the Cabinet sub-committee looking into the legal aspects of the JOA (IT) exam and result, said that the result of all the candidates, except those seven candidates against whom an FIR had been registered in the paper leak case, would be announced.

The Deputy CM said the recommendations of the sub-committee would be placed before the full Cabinet for approval. “The decision of the sub-committee will give relief to the candidates sitting on a hunger strike for the past few days, demanding declaration of the results of JOA (IT)-817,” he said. Over 2 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam of JOA (IT) exam.
