The state government has sanctioned Rs 3.86 crore for the construction of town hall at Sujanpur near here.

Sujanpur MLA Rajinder Rana, MLA today said the project was sanctioned by ex-CM Virbhadra Singh and was delayed by the BJP government by over five years.

He said all formalities for the construction of the town hall had been completed. Rana said land for the

project was transferred to the Urban Development Department. “The PWD has invited tender for the construction of the town hall. The project will be completed soon,” the MLA added.

Rana said the BJP government had ignored the constituency and always delayed development here. He said CM Sukhvinder Sukhu had assured all round development of the constituency on priority. He said the CM had already announced an increase in bed capacity of the local hospital from 50 to 100 and more facilities for patients here. Sujanpur would be developed as model constituency, he added.
