Solan, December 10
The state government today issued a notification for Kasauli subdivision, which has been created by including 12 patwar circles of Kasauli tehsil and as many of the sub-tehsil of Krishangarh that are part of existing Solan subdivision.
Putting all speculation to rest, this subdivision will be headquartered at Kasauli. Earlier, places such as Parwanoo and Dharampur, too, were under the consideration of the district administration.
This is a key achievement of local MLA and Health Minister Rajiv Saizal, who had raised the demand during the Chief Minister’s visit to Parwanoo in December last year. It was approved by the Cabinet earlier this year.
It was a long-pending demand of the constituency, which was among the few Assembly segments in the state having no subdivision. The candidates contesting the Assembly poll had to submit their nomination papers in Solan till now. This will facilitate the residents, who have to travel to Solan for various works.
The patwar circles from Kasauli tehsil that will fall under this subdivision are Kasauli, Garkhal, Gulhaadi, Chaamiyan, Kot Beja, Kot, Teedo, Baasal, Naali Dhaarthi, Badog, Tadol and Dharampur.
The patwar circles from subtehsil Krishangarh that have been included are Jaadla, Krishangarh, Daadwa, Bughaar Knaita, Badhlag, Chandi, Ghadsi, Goyla, Ghyaan, Patta, Bhagudi and Jagjitnagar.
The composition of Solan subdivision, too, has changed after the constitution of Kasauli subdivision. Only 20 patwar circles now lie in Solan subdivision, which include Solan city 1 and 2, Jauna Ji, Masivar, Salogra, Shamti, Nauni, Dehun, Basaal, Badog, Bohli, Bhojnagar, Bairati, Devthi, Rano, Bhaadti, Gamjhoon, Jaabal Jamrot, Haripur and Subathu.
