To facilitate the process of settling pending tax disputes with the appellate platforms, the local Income Tax (IT) Department organised an awareness workshop here today under the ‘Direct Tax Vivad se Vishwas’ (DTVsV) scheme.
Representatives of trade associations of the area, chartered accountants, IT advocates and tax consultants attended this workshop. Nurpur Income Tax Officer Vipin said as per the guidelines of the Principal IT Commissioner-1 (Chandigarh) and Additional IT Commissioner (Shimla), the awareness workshop was being organised with an objective to sensitise the taxpayers about the DTVsV scheme launched by the Central Government.
Vipin apprised the gathering about the filing of declaration under the scheme and working out the payable tax.
