Orange alert issued for hailstorm today
Weather Department has issued an orange alert for hailstorm at isolated places in the districts of Solan, Sirmaur, Mandi and Shimla for tomorrow. Besides, there’s a forecast for wet spell and thunderstorm activity over some parts of the state till June 2.
Under the influence of Western Disturbance and other favourable atmospheric conditions, light to moderate rainfall is likely over many parts of the state accompanied with thunderstorm/lightning, gusty winds (40-50 kmph) up to June 1.
A few spells of heavy rainfall are likely over the districts of Kangra, Kullu and Mandi on May 31.
