A Pran Pratishtha ceremony and Shanta Maha Yagya will be held by the Chudeshwar Temple Committee on October 11.
A meeting of the Chudeshwar Temple Committee was held here today. Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap said over 50,000 devotees, from Himachal Pradesh and neighbouring states, were expected to attend the festivities.
The construction of the temple will be completed by installing the “kurad”. He added that a large number of deities from Sirmaur, Solan and Shimla districts will mark their presence in the programme. There will be a complete ban on plastic items during the programme.
Kashyap said a base camp will be set up at Kala Bagh, where arrangements for food and stay will be made, for the devotees coming from Sarahan and Tarahan routes of Shimla district, which is located at a distance of 1 km from the main temple.
He said arrangements will also be made for the devotees coming from Nohradhar, for which a meeting will be organised soon with the Sirmaur district administration.
He directed the Chaupal Sub-Divisional Magistrate to assess all arrangements related to the organisation of the programme. He said the next meeting related to the organisation of the programme will be held in Chaupal by the end of this month and a detailed outline of the programme will be prepared.
Shimla Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Gandhi said proper arrangements will be made to ensure smooth traffic movement during the programme.
He also directed other officials of the Police Department to initiate geo-mapping of the area.
