Shimla, August 3
More than 500 students of Himachal Pradesh University attended a workshop focused on anti-ragging and combating drug abuse was organised by the Shimla Rotary Club here today in association with the Vyaktitva Foundation.
Major Vikas Kadsholi, expert in the area of education, and Kulpreet Saini, mental health coach working in the area of de-addiction for more than a decade, were the keynote speakers during the workshop. The founder of Vyaktitva and programme director Arunima Sharma briefed the students about the workshop.
This interactive and skill-based workshop was conducted to strengthen the protective factors to prevent substance use and reduce risk factors. A motivational talk on building an impactful career while staying away from provoking reels and other entertainment sources was also held.
Shimla Rotary Club President Saurabh Raj Sood said the workshops were being conducted by the foundation after taking permission from the Directorate of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh.
“The Shimla Rotary Club has conducted five such workshops during the last four days in which more than 2,000 students participated,” he said. — TNS
