Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University, Palampur, has received the ISO 9001:2015 certification from TATA Quality Certification. This certification highlights the university’s dedication to progressing in agricultural education, research and extension services. The ISO 9001:2015 certification is an internationally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Talking to The Tribune, Vice-Chancellor Naveen Kumar said the certification reflected the university’s pursuit of the highest standards in education, research and service delivery. This recognition would pave the way for new opportunities, including collaborations, research initiatives and innovative solutions in the agricultural sector, he added. The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the faculty and lauded the efforts of ISO Management Representative Dr Adarsh Kumar and his team of auditors for their work in securing the certification.
