Palampur farm varsity professor selected for veterinary immunology award
Subhash Verma will be honoured during 30th Annual Convention of the ISVIB and International Conference from November 6 to 8
Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Palampur, has added another feather to its cap as the Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology and Biotechnology has selected Subhash Verma, Professor, Department of Veterinary Microbiology, Dr GC Negi College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, for the ISVIB Fellow Award-2025.
The award will be conferred upon Verma during the 30th Annual Convention of the ISVIB and International Conference (VIBCON-2025) to be held at the ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Mukteshwar, from November 6 to 8.
Vice-Chancellor AK Panda congratulated Verma on this achievement and lauded his outstanding contributions to veterinary microbiology, immunology and biotechnology, particularly in the field of infectious diseases of ruminants. He said that such national-level recognitions enhanced the university’s reputation for excellence in veterinary education and research.
Verma’s selection as an ISVIB fellow reflected both his scientific leadership and the university’s continued commitment to advancing innovation and excellence in animal health research.
