Palampur: Science exhibition on birth anniversary of martyr Captain Saurabh Kalia

Palampur, June 30

To commemorate the 46th birth anniversary of Kargil war hero Captain Saurabh Kalia, an inter-school science exhibition was organised in DAV Public School here today.

Around 20 teams from Rose Public Senior Secondary School, Suliali, Anuradha Public School, Maranda, ABM, Thakurdwara, DAV Public School, Dehra Gopipur, DAV Public School, Alampur, Mother’s Touch School, Ghuggar, DAV Public School, Rehan, DAV Public School, Tiara, DAV, Nagrota Surian, Government Senior Secondary School, Daroh, DAV Public School, Dharamsala, Neugal Public School, Bindraban, Scholar’s International School, Ghurkari, DAV Public School, Palampur, DAV Public School, Narwana, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Palampur, Himalayan Holy Faith Senior Secondary School, Pathiar, Vivek Foundation School, Mansimbal, and Springdale Convent School, Jawali.

The exhibition was inaugurated by chief guest Dr Anil Sood, former director and senior scientist, CSIR-IHBT, Palampur.

Sukhdev Bhardwaj, Chairman of Ajanta Chemical Industries, and Dr Ranjodh Singh were the special guests and Dr Vipin Hallan and Dr SK Vats were the judges of the competition.

The first prize was bagged by Mohit Sharma and Ananya Gupta of BD DAV Senior Secondary School, Dharamsala, Charvi Mahajan and Sharvil Sood of Aadhunik Public School, Sidhbari, secured the second position and the third position was bagged by Kashish, Yatika Singh and Aaradhya Rana of Mother’s Touch School, Palampur.

Captain Saurabh Kalia’s father Dr NK Kalia, mother Vijay Kalia and brother Vaibhav Kalia were present.
