Una, June 30

A Una District Court today remanded Ispur panchayat secretary Vishnu Sharma in two days police custody in a bribery case. The Una Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau (V&ACB) had arrested him yesterday.

Sharma was caught red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 12,000 from a resident of Barnoh panchayat for issuing a no objection certificate to him for setting up a brick sales outlet at Ispur village.

The Additional SP of the Una V&ACB said that the case was being investigated and the accused had been sent to two days police custody.
