Palampur, June 1
Vipin Singh Parmar, Speaker of the state Assembly, yesterday visited Covid patients staying in home isolation in different villages of Sulaha like Arla, Boda, Bhattu, Saloh, Mehanja, Garh, Bhawarna, Sehol, Bachhwai and Rajhoon areas of Palampur.
Parmar also distributed among them home isolation kits that were recently launched by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. Earlier, the Speaker spoke to patients on phone.
“I have lined up visits everyday to meet patients who are in home isolation in rural areas as they need support from the government. The purpose of visiting patients on their doorsteps is not only to restore their confidence that the government is standing with them but also to enquire about their welfare and if their livelihood has been affected by the pandemic,” said Parmar.
Parmar requested residents of the area to get vaccinated as and when they get a chance. — OC
