Rampur, July 30
A meeting of the Patient Welfare Committee, chaired by Kinnaur Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Sharma, was organised at Tribal Ayurvedic Hospital in Reckong Peo today.
Sharma emphasised that being the oldest form of medical treatment in the world, ayurveda possessed the ability to eradicate diseases. During the meeting, the DC inspected hospital wards, Kshara Sutra and Panchkarma facilities.
Discussions were also held on increasing the revenue of the committee. The budget for 2024-25 was approved and the fee for medical fitness certificates was raised from Rs 150 to Rs 200.
District Ayurvedic Officer Dr Indu Sharma highlighted various activities of the committee and Dr Shalini Gupta conducted the meeting.
District council president Nihal Charas, Dr Kaviraj, DIET Principal Kuldeep Negi, Kothi gram panchayat chief Om Prakash, along with other members, were present on the occasion.
