Residents of Una district, receiving treatment from the PGI, Chandigarh, were yesterday provided telemedicine facilities at the Jal Shakti Rest House in Una city where two doctors from the institute are manning the centre, having real-time connectivity with specialist doctors.

More than 100 patients turned up on the first day, but only 50 could be provided services. Seeing the rush, Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar said from Wednesday, patients would have to first get themselves registered on mobile number 7876491951 to seek an appointment.
