Penalise those parking vehicles alongside roads
VEHICLES parked on the roadside at the points where link roads converge with the Cart road have become a bane for commuters as they lead to frequent traffic jams. Similar situation can be observed at the point where the road to CPWD colony join the main road. The wide roads between the Lift and Talland have been turned into parking spaces. Police should heavily penalise vehicle owners following such practices. — Dinesh, Shimla
Check Monkey menace at Totu
MONKEY menace has become a major problem in Totu ward of Shimla. Residents are fed up with monkeys. If remedial steps are not taken by the agencies concerned, the residents will gherao the offices of Wildlife Conservator and MC Commissioner. — Vijender, Totu, Shimla
2 MRI machines needed at IGMC
WITH only one MRI machine at IGMC, getting patient’s examination done has become a laborious job at the state’s biggest hospital. After the doctor suggest for an MRI scan, it takes 15 to 20 days for the test to be conducted. As a result the entire medical treatment process of the patient comes to a halt. The Indira Gandhi Medical College should have at least two MRI machines so that the patients coming from remote areas don’t have to face inconvenience. — Neelam, Sanjauli
