During his address, the DC emphasised the significance of honouring pensioners who have selflessly contributed during times of crisis. He remarked that such gestures set an inspiring example of humanitarian values in society. He also praised the efforts of the Himachal Pradesh Pensioners Welfare Association for this commendable initiative. He further highlighted that the welfare plans and initiatives initiated by retired officials and employees continue to progress with the same dedication and resolve.

The DC encouraged the representatives from various blocks of the district present at the ceremony to support the ongoing campaign for the intellectual development of children and youth in the district by promoting libraries. He urged the members to engage with youth by sharing wisdom from texts such as the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Vedas and other ancient scriptures, helping them choose the right path to face life’s challenges. He called for collective efforts to guide the younger generation by involving local SDMs and organising discussions.
