People to get state-of-the-art facilities: Dhani Ram Shandil

The Himachal government is set to provide state-of-the-art facilities to the people of the state. This was stated by Health Minister Dhani Ram Shandil while presiding over the Independence Day function here yesterday. He said Himachal Pradesh was heading towards self-reliance as the government had taken steps to increase revenue of the state.
Speaking on the development projects of the Health Department in the district, Shandil said Rs 380 crore was being spent on the construction of the new campus of the Dr Radhakrishanan Government Medical College at Jol Sappad in the district.
He said the construction of the academic block of the campus was completed and the work of the OPD and patient wards of the hospital building was in the final stage. He said the government had also proposed to establish a nursing college, a cancer research centre, mother-child hospital along with other modern health facilities here. — OC
