PM Modi adorns Kullu cap in France; Vikramaditya says 'political ideology aside, matter of pride for every Himachali'
Pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi adorning the colorful Kulluvi Himachali cap are winning hearts in Himachal, with people from all sections lauding him.
PM Modi was seen wearing the Kulluvi cap during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron during his visit to France.
While many BJP leaders, including Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma, have heaped praises on the PM for showcasing Himachali culture by choosing to wear the Kullu cap, it is the social media post of Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh that is grabbing all attention.
While posting a picture of the PM with the French President, he wrote that seeing him wear the cap makes him proud, like every other Himachali.
He wrote that, political ideology aside, it is a matter of pride for every Himachali.
However, he also urged that he hopes the Centre will not treat Himachal with step-motherly treatment and will provide financial assistance to the state for the restoration of the damages suffered in the disaster.
PM Modi has worn the Himachali cap at major events in the past. He has chosen Himachali handicrafts as gifts for heads of state during his foreign visits.
Having remained in charge of the Himachal BJP for many years in the nineties, Modi knows the state inside out. In his speeches during visits to Himachal, he expresses great liking for the pahari cuisine, like Mandi’s sepu vadi.
