Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the newly constructed building of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) at Nadaun here today.

The Prime Minister said that the Central Government was committed to providing the best educational infrastructure in the country. In the last decade, record construction of school buildings and other educational institutions was done in the country. He also congratulated teachers, students and their guardians on the occasion.

In a virtual message, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur said that he was thankful to the Prime Minister for fulfilling his demand for the construction of the school building. This KV was established 28 years ago and none of the governments bothered to provide it a building of its own; the school was running from a rented building till now.

Anurag said that he would continue to serve the people of the Hamirpur constituency. A number of institutions and developmental works were accomplished during his tenure as MP and he was thankful to the Prime Minister for his support. He added that Rs 19.96 crore was spent on the KV building at Nadaun.
