Thirteen new village have been selected as beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Aadarsh Gaon Scheme in Una district. Presiding over a district-level review meeting of the scheme, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahender Pal Gurjar said work on 23 villages was already in progress under the scheme, and a sum of Rs 3.59 crores was being spent during the current financial year on the integrated development of these villages.
Installation of solar streetlights, construction of village roads, installing water coolers, rejuvenating old ponds and modelling work for smart classrooms could be undertaken under the scheme, the ADC added.
Gurjar said Behdala, Bhadsali Tholian, Chalet (upper), Dangoh Khas, Dhamandri, Ghangret, Gondpur Banehra Upper, Jakhera, Kuneran Lower, Kuriala, Pirthipur Lower and Saloh (upper) were included under the scheme.
