In 2024 alone, the centre received 110,794 calls, including 19 per cent from women, 2 per cent from children and 71 per cent from men,” the DIG added.
He said, “Calls related to financial fraud are immediately uploaded on the NCRP portal to prevent further financial loss. In 2024, a total of 11,982 complaints were uploaded, involving a total loss of Rs 114 crore, of which Rs 15 crore was successfully returned to the victims.”
At present, 21 employees, including nine women, work at the CY Station, making a significant impact in the fight against cybercrime.
