Chief Electoral Officer Nandita Gupta on Monday said that the Election Commission of India (ECI) had introduced several initiatives to make the election process more transparent, inclusive and effective. These initiatives were being implemented in the state, she added.
Nandita said a maximum limit of 1,200 voters had been set for a polling station, as per the ECI’s guidelines, to ensure there was no overcrowding and voters could exercise their right to franchise.
