Financial mismanagement due to poor governance led to the harassment of over 2 lakh employees and 1.5 lakh pensioners in the state. This was said by former Union Minister Anurag Thakur here today.

He said the Congress-led government in the state had enough funds to spend on political appointments in the government but not for the state’s employees. He said the state was nearing bankruptcy due programmes and policies of the Congress government.

Thakur said the government was busy in enriching and favouring friends while the state was reeling under the ‘mafia raj’.

He said poor law and order, injustice and ego of the Congress leaders had made the life of general public miserable.

The state government had everything for political appointees, including money, cars, bunglows, but did not have enough funds for the salary and pension, he said, adding that the interests of the Congress leaders’ friends were the only priority of the government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

He said these programmes and policies of the BJP were appreciated by people, and it is why they elected Narendra Modi as their Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. He urged the people to join the party to bring prosperity to the country.

He said this was strength of the BJP workers that the saffron party, which once had only two seats in the Parliament, had 303 MPs in the previous term. He also addressed a workers’

meeting at Bhoranj and Sameerpur.
