Director, Elementary Education, Ashish Kohli said the decision had been taken to improve the quality of education in government schools. “The step has been taken so that the teachers take their work seriously,” Kohli said.

A total of 116 schools affiliated to the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education had recorded below 25% result, while 30 schools had recorded zero per cent result in the Class X exam.
