Posters pasted on public properties

Housing facilities and PG owners are pasting posters and installing signboards at public places, which is not only compromising the beauty of the town, but also covering important information. Many people have pasted posters advertising rooms and PGs at a rain shelter at the Bishop Cotton School, which is hampering the beauty of the premises. The MC authorities are requested to take note of the matter and remove such posters and signboards on public properties across the city. Abhinav, Shimla

No sugar-free tea at IGMC

Pople who run the cafeteria at the Indira Gandhi Medical College are not providing sugar- free tea to diabetic patients due to which they have to face inconvenience. Diabetic patients are told to drink tea without adding sugar to it, and being the biggest hospital in the state, it lacks the arrangements of preparing sugar-free tea. This is unacceptable as patients deserve proper amenities and care. People visiting the cafeteria and hospital are also devoid of the facility, which is unacceptable. The hospital authorities should make proper arrangements on priority to prevent patients from further suffering. Kamla, Shimla

Unclean toilets at Solan sabzi mandi

THE toilets at the Solan sabzi mandi are unclean due to which farmers, orchardists and drivers who visit the place are facing inconvenience. This also creates unhygienic conditions for everyone. Not only this, the mandi has been grappling with shortage of water. Being the biggest fruit market of the district, such poor amenities are not what one expects. The authorities concerned are requested to sort out the problem at the earliest.
