Hamirpur, July 20
The parents of Agniveer Nikhil Dhadhwal, who died in Kashmir earlier this week, have urged President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to order an inquiry into their son’s death.
Nikhil, who was posted in the Tanda area of Kashmir’s Akhnoor, died on Thursday. He was from the first batch of Agniveers and had completed two years in the Army.
His father Daler Singh, a taxi driver, said that he was informed on phone that his son had sustained serious injury and later died. He urged the President and the Prime Minister to get an inquiry conducted into the cause of death.
Nikhil’s brother Akhil has also urged the government to probe the case.
