The state government will consider organising the MLA priorities meeting bi-annually so that progress in the work of MLA priorities could be reviewed, said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over the second session of the meeting of MLA priorities for the financial year 2020-21 with the MLAs of Mandi and Kinnaur districts here late last evening.

The Chief Minister said this meeting was vital for overall development of the state. He directed the officers to adopt proactive approach to ensure that policies and programmes of the state government reach the person belonging at the lowest level.

MLA Karsog Hira Lal demanded that Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya should be opened in his area. He also urged for developing Tattapani from tourism point of view.

MLA Sundernagar Rakesh Jamwal demanded that the work at Sundernagar hospital should be started. He further sought rationalization of a sub division of electricity in his constituency and setting up of 220 KV sub-station at Sundernagar.

MLA Nachan Vinod Kumar sought exclusion of a few areas of his constituency from the Town and Country Planning preview to facilitate the people. He requested for sewerage scheme for Gohar and Kanaid and also demanded enhancing MLA Fund.

MLA Drang Jawahar Thakur pleaded for improvement of roads in his area. He also demanded opening of a Civil Court at Padhar and exploring the area from tourism point of view.

MLA Jogindernagar Prakash Rana said that civil hospital at Ladbhadol must be constructed on a priority. He also urged for providing funds for Ladbhadol Degree College and construction of ambulance roads.

MLA Mandi Anil Sharma said that 24-hour water supply should be made available to Mandi town. He said that a stadium be constructed in Mandi for promoting sports activities in the area.

MLA Balh Inder Singh Gandhi said that health facilities in upper area of Balh must be strengthened. He also demanded strengthening of animal husbandry services in Upper Balh area.

MLA Sarkaghat Col Inder Singh said special emphasis must be laid on maintaining roads in the area. He also urged for channelization of Seer Khud.

MLA Kinnaur Jagat Singh Negi sought that the preparation of DPRs of various development projects should be fast-tracked. He also said there was need for increasing the amount under MLA Fund. He said that mining lease be given in Kinnaur district.

Chief Secretary Anil Kumar Khachi assured the Chief Minister that the officers would work with dedication and commitment to come up to the expectations of the state government. He also asked the officers to come with innovative ideas and new schemes.
